Gemlay Fire Systems Commissioner Johnathan Blignaut   is responsible for undertaking installation works either directly for the end user or on behalf of major electrical contractors. Works are controlled by our skilled and trained  teams based on size, complexity and value.
 
Commissioning is arguably the most important phase of the system installation as during this phase a highly skilled and  will carry out a full and detailed survey and test of the installed system ensuring that it meets with both the design specification and ultimately the required codes of practice. All staff are fully trained in both commissioning and to an advanced system design level giving them the knowledge and expertise to carry out a critical and thorough sign off process on every system.

Fire Extinguishers

Our company has a third party principal company to ensure the safety and maintenance of your  fire extinguisher units.  We also supply and sell new units and arrange for units to be serviced and recharge at affordable prices.
 
This is our independent party policy to ensure a unit is fit to be used in the case of a Fire Emergency.
 
We perform both annual and semi annual inspections, looking for signs of wear, damage and other potential safety or operational issues, such as:

  • Faulty pressure gauges or pressure gauges that do not read properly.
  • Damaged safety seals
  • Poorly displayed or missing operation instructions
  • Improper placement or support
  • Leaking or clogged nozzles
  • Worn or damaged hoses
  • Corrosion or physical damage anywhere on the unit
  • Signs layout of your premises comply to indicate units and Exits
  • Fullness of container unit
